An error occurred in the upload. Please try again later

An issue I have been having lately with the introduction and installation of the Wordpress 2.5 is a problem with the Media Upload function. This problem is not exactly linked to the type of browser used (IE or Firefox.. though probable) but rather due to a Web Hosting server setting. In order to get everything working as per normal, I had to (change some of the scripts so that it works for IE) more importantly have the following line of codes inserted to the .htaccess file in the root folder of my the wordpress installation.

<IfModule mod_security.c>
<Files async-upload.php>
SecFilterEngine Off
SecFilterScanPOST Off
</Files>
</IfModule>

Once the above lines were inserted, my error of “An error occurred in the upload. Please try again later” was instantly resolved. I wonder how WP is going to fix this issue in their next release. Hopefully it would have more bug fixes but so far, I’m enjoying this 2.5 version. Posting has been an increased joy so far.

GWS F15 servos installed

After having waited close to 3-4 weeks for my Local Hobby Shop to order my GWS Park Servos for me (since GWS did not want to assist by letting me order straight from them), the servos finally arrived and I managed to install them onto the plane. I now have the two halves of the fuselage glued together nicely. All that is left to do is to install the linkages to the ailerons and nose gear, screw in the full moving tail stabilizers and install the receiver and configure it on the radio. Oh of course there’s the dreaded putting on the stickers part. I don’t quite like the waterbased stickers… They are a bitch to put on!

Anyway here are some pictures which I took yesterday night with the camera on my Nokia 6300. The images have a lot of noise in them thus making them unclear. When the plane is fully complete, I’ll take some nicer shots of the F15.

For now…. I’ll hit the breaks and they’ll fly right by…

GWS F15 Jet

GWS F15

Here’s a picture of my F15 EDF jet which I hope to complete soon. Construction has been halted for almost a month as I have been waiting for my LHS to get me the needed PARK servos. I wonder how well this jet will fly. Apparently its a real floater. We shall see. Hopefully I have enough battery power to power the two electric ducted fans on the jet. You can see many pictures and videos of this jet on youtube.

Bank Negara Rounding Mechanism

As of 1 April 2008, Bank Negara decided to impose the Rounding Mechanism to make it easier for monetary transactions to take place. That means, 1 sen coins will no longer be used when dealing with over the counter transactions. How does this mechanism work? Well put simply.. 1,2,6,7 sens will be rounded DOWN and 3,4,8,9 sens will be rounded UP to the closest 5 sens.

To me it was confusing at first when hearing it over the radio because from what I was taught, 1,2,3,4 should be rounded down an 6,7,8,9 shoud be rounded up but then I realised we’re actually rounding off to the closest 5 sens, not to the closest 10 sens. I somehow forgot about the 5 sens between the 10s. Silly me.

To most people this would be “transparent”. For the last 15 days, I haven’t really encountered this matter though I’m sure it is already in place. Basically I just pay what is asked and costs gets rounded up or down automatically so much so that the end user buyer is normally not aware that this has been done. This is a good thing. I sure hope BN (Bank Negara)’s rational to round off 5 sens is good one. Only time will tell whether transactions or queues move faster without having aunties and uncles dig their purses for 1 sen coins. BTW, I go MC Dolands pretty often… and to me… this move is a blessing in disguise. I have a drawer full of 1 sen coins!

Anyway make sure you get rid of the 1 sen coins that you have with you before they become illegal tender. NO THIS IS NO APRIL FOOL’S JOKE… You may read more about this from BN’s website at http://www.bnm.gov.my/index.php?ch=209

Geotagging Plugin Test… Flying Site

Testing Geomapping capability on my blog. Will start off with zooming into my Flying Site at Kota Damansara. It’s interesting to see a bird’s eye view of the roads where we drive. What we think is a short cut sometimes just ain’t! Anyway this map seems to be pretty detailed however I think the Google Earth program provides a better satelite view with better zooming capability. Perhaps its because we’re talking about maps in Malaysia. Perhaps it would be better in the states. Will need to test that out! Over and out!
