When I read about Datin Paduka Sharifah Mazlina Syed Abdul Kadir’s expedition to the North Pole, I was both excited and proud of her. I’m sure she makes us all feel proud to be tackling this adventurous, challenging and dangerous expedition.
Anyway I felt compelled to write about this but due to the lack of time recently, I would just pen down a few lines…. especially my good luck wishes to her… not that she would know but I guess many of us are supporting and cheering her from our little corner.
What more can I say except…. “Do us Proud. We know you can do it… and god speed to your expedition!”
Evening between 9 - 11pm is the time for eliminating unnecessary toxic
chemicals (detoxification) from the antibody system (lymph nodes). This,
time duration should be spent by relaxing or listening to music. If during
this time a housewife is still in an unrelaxed state such as washing the
dishes or monitoring children doing their homework, this will have a
negative impact on health.
Between 11pm - 1am is the detoxification process of the liver, and ideally
should be done during a deep sleep state.
Early morning from 1 - 3am detoxification process of the gall, also ideally
done whilst in a deep sleep state.
Early morning from 3 - 5am detoxification of the lungs. Â Therefore there
will sometimes be a severe cough for cough sufferers during this time.
Since the detoxification process has reached the respiratory tract, there
is no need to take cough medicine so as not to interfere with toxin removal
process.
Morning 5 - 7am is time for detoxification of the colon; hence you should
empty your bowels.
Morning 7 - 9am: absorption of nutrients in the small intestine, you should
be having breakfast at this time. Breakfast should be earlier, before
6:30am for those who are sick.
Breakfast before 7:30am is very beneficial to those wanting to stay fit.
Those who always skip breakfast, they should change their habits, and it is
still better to eat breakfast late at about 9 - 10am rather than no meal at
all.
Sleeping late and waking up too late will disrupt the process of removing unnecessary chemicals. Aside from that, midnight to 4:00 am is the time when the bone marrow produces blood. Therefore, have a good sleep and don’t sleep late.
Managed to capture this Lion dance at Imbi Palace restaurant during dim sum time. It really brought the festivity mood to all the customers there. Who says you need Fireworks to feel its Chinese New Year!?
hmm.. I wonder when they will be removing the ban on fireworks. Its a pity why the entire nation has to suffer just because kids are blowing themselves up by messing with the fireworks. Maybe they can have a new ruling by stating that only kids above 18 are allowed to purchase or play with fireworks. Well I’m still glad there hasn’t been any moon rockets flying into my porch over the past few years ;)Â &@(*!*# stupid kids…
Eye On Malaysia… London Eye…. are they the same ? Well… apart from being a smaller cousin (1/2 the size???) to the London Eye, the Eye of Malaysia was quite a pretty nice experience… especially since we haven’t managed to ride the London Eye before. The day started off gloomy with slight drizzles and we choose to go today (17 Feb 2007) because it was just a day before the Chinese New Year. Most people were away from KL so the roads to Taman Tasik Titiwangsa were pretty clear. As such we managed to get there relatively early at 10:40am or so. The Eye On Malaysia starts operation daily at 10am.
   Â
We didn’t have to wait long as there weren’t many people there but the line started to build up slightly after we got there. The loading however was pretty quick since they are able to load up to 8 persons into each of the 5 cabs simultaneoulsy. The view from the top wasn’t that great since it was gloomy and overcast. We did manage to see KLCC Twin Towers from up there though and we also got a good overall view of Lake Titiwangsa. I’m sure if it was nice, clear and sunny, we would have gotten a much better view… perhaps of even Genting Highlands. The entire ride didn’t take that long. I didn’t really time it butI did count the number of times we went round the ferris wheel. We managed to do five full rounds before the ride ended and to make things great, we only had to share the cab with another man and his chatty but pleasant daughter of 4 yrs. The cabs were also air-conditioned so that definately helps during hot sunny days! The were also speakers in the cab playing the Visit Malaysia Theme Song but that was about it… Would have been great if they blurted out some interesting facts and places of interest in Malaysia over the speakers. What a better place to promote Malaysia to visitors then when they’re stuck in the cab during the ride? Obviously they were not leveraging on this at all.
   Â
The structure is said to be about 60 meters tall so it is much smaller than the London Eye (which is reported to be 135 meters!!!) and the overall view wasn’t that great but its pretty worth the experience. As adults we had to pay RM15.00 each. One thing we did wonder was why weren’t there any souvenier stalls nearby, plus the lack of shelter also makes rainy weather (which is always the case in Malaysia) a bit messy and hard to move around. The place needs more stalls and more fun stuff to do at the locality. There was only one EYE CAFE there and a local “chinese” clown there. For a tourist I think something would definitely be lacking. More needs to be done in order to make it an experience to talk about. For a Saturday, the place sure had a lack of tourists and majority of the people present were locals. Its a pity really because I am sure it can be made into a wonderful tourist attraction.Â
Tonight I had my “TUEN LUEN FAN” at home with my parents and uncle. Its the night before the Chinese New Year and its a significant night where family gather together to have dinner together. Food was scrumptiously prepared by my mother as usual and the company was great! I also Happy Chinese New Year! Thank You all for the wishes and the e-cards. I’d also like to take this opportunity to wish my friends and relatives a Happy Chinese New Year of the Fire Boar! May the new year be filled with wealth, health and happiness! Gong Xi Fa Chai!
Saw an episode of “Trippin” on 8TV tonight and it was regarding Kite Fying… Now how difficult that can be? Well… it’s an extreme sport and it is tough! I once saw a foreigner along a beach in Bali doing body dragging. It was aggressive… and the wind was just dragging the poor fella around like a drag doll. Read up quite a little on it from the internet and found out its a serious sport in itself and not child’s play like the little kits and “WAUs” that we, the general public, are all too familiar with. The ability of today’s kite to catch wind and literally pull you upwards sounds a little too daunting for me.
Wind comes, you lift off,…. Wind goes, you figure…..
I wouldn’t mind trying out this sport one fine day. After all… I have interest in anything that takes flight!
Trex 600 rocks! Check out the precise flight control of this chopper. Lots of power and cool moves. Bet you didn’t know helicopters could be moved around like that! This is a .50 sized chopper but its electric powered by Align. Enjoy!
